3|SHARE is a Business Plus Level Adobe Systems Solution Partner and offers training, consulting, and managed services to Adobe's Digital Marketing Suite customers. Their blog provides news and tutorials to the Adobe Experience Manager community.
While their blog was already filled with great information, 3|SHARE wanted to update its color palette and make its layout responsive to better showcase their content. I worked with their in-house marketing team and branding consultants to redesign the blog and address these issues.
We began the process by designing static mockups in Adobe Illustrator. As 3|SHARE's blog is built with HubSpot, implementation involved a mix of HTML, SCSS, JavaScript, and HubSpot's own templating syntax HubL.

The Ages & Stages Questionnaires® (ASQ) is an application that allows parents to measure their children's growth through a series of questionnaires relating to speech, motor skills, and other aspects of child development.
ASQ has a large user-base, but due to its outdated UI it was only truly accessible to desktop users. In 2015 while working at SmartLogic I help modernize the UI and implement responsive stylesheets that allowed tablet and mobile users to access the application.
As the first step towards addressing the UI updates, I worked with Brookes Publishing's project managers to design a style guide. We updated the ASQ color palette, introduced cleaner typography, and standardized the margin and padding sizes. I then worked in Adobe Illustrator to redesign the application and rebuilt the user interface with HTML and SCSS.
With the new responsive interface Brookes Publishing was able to share ASQ with a wider audience and grow their user base. Additionally, the aesthetic updates offered their existing customers a revitalized user experience and helped to ensure the continued success of the application.

Tenth Harvest represents wine makers from around the world and distributes high-quality, small-batch wines to restaurants and retailers. In 2013 and 2014 while working at SmartLogic I worked on their e-commerce app as the designer and front-end developer.
Since most of their sales are made in-person, Tenth Harvest needed an application that could quickly search and filter their inventory by qualities such as age, acidity, and varietal type. Because many of their wines are available in very limited quantities, it was also important that the application integrate directly with their warehousing software to ensure no wines were oversold.
Before beginning development, we created wireframes and presented several design options to Tenth Harvest. Combining elements from several of the designs, we then developed a style guide to be used throughout the development process.
For this project we employed an agile design process. Rather than designing the entire application upfront, I worked alongside the backend-developers and used the style guide to style new features as they were implemented. After several months of design and development, the application was launched and has become a valuable sales tool for Tenth Harvest.

Med-IQ is a continuing education company based in Maryland that offers courses, videos, and other resources to medical professionals. In order to attract new customers and offer their existing users a more rich experience across all device types, Med-IQ wanted to make their courses mobile and tablet-friendly. In 2014 and 2015 while working at SmartLogic I helped them achieve their goal by introducing a responsive layout and a revitalized design to their website.
I worked with Med-IQ's designer to create a style guide and introduced a brighter, more streamlined color palette. While each course is unique, elements such as text blocks, quotations, citations, and embedded video and audio clips are commonly featured. I worked in Adobe Illustrator to create a standardized design for each type of element and wrote modular SCSS so that only the applicable styling would be served to each course.
With the newly rejuvenated layout, Med-IQ was able to bring their medical education resources to a wider audience of mobile and tablet users and offer an experience that is accessible across all device types.

Ruby DCamp is an annual code retreat that takes place outside of Washington DC.
SmartLogic is a longtime sponsor of the event, and each year from 2010 to 2015 I designed a t-shirt based around Ruby DCamp's logo to celebrate this unique outdoor conference.
